Gaffer Needed For a Music Video Clip Project

My name is Sydney Imani, I am an Amsterdam-based singer/songwriter. This spring I will release my debut album, Light. The album consists of 7 songs and its title is an homage to the poem “Anthem” by Leonard Cohen. The songs are my own compositions and are based on realizations and understandings that I have come to know, and which have become important features of my current outlook. Some themes addressed within this album include vulnerability, self-image, empathy, growth, and gratitude. With this album, I am hoping to illuminate some of the core values that have helped me (and continue to help me) to develop a healthy and joyful worldview in an uplifting and relatable way. The genre of music on this album can be roughly categorized as neo-soul, R&B.

One of the tracks on the album is called "Crown" which is a tribute to my personal journey towards self-love and acceptance—a testimony to the infinitely worthwhile endeavor of seeing and believing in your value. We are making a music video clip for "Crown" and we are looking for a gaffer for the project. We intend to shoot the video in May 2023.

We are looking for someone who (preferably) has experience making short films. Current students or recent graduates from the Netherlands Film Academy or (another Netherlands-based film academy) who are looking for experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

The responsibilities of this role include assisting the director with:
-Pre-production planning/consultation
-Coordination on set during shoot days (2 days)

Wat bieden wij?
Besides experience, we offer a small stipend of €100 plus all expenses. We are in the process of applying for funding. If the funding goes through, this stipend becomes €200.
