We are a team of seven students at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Enschede, and within the Audiovisual Storytelling minor, we have the unique opportunity to work on a professionally produced short film over the next few months: "We've Missed You." The film will be an absurdist and energetic short comedy full of chaotic situations; based on a universally relatable experience with parcel delivery drivers.

Logline:
When an avid gamer fails to receive his package for the umpteenth time, he risks everything to have his arch-rival, the delivery man, deliver it to his apartment anyway.

Synopsis:
Joep is a fanatic gamer lost in his online rivalry with Goinpostal. When he accidentally destroys his keyboard, an absurd battle begins: not only with his gaming opponent, but also with a mysterious delivery driver who keeps missing him. Joep's obsession grows as he increasingly misses his delivery driver. His frustration escalates into a full-blown vendetta, where he tries everything to catch the delivery driver, from speedruns through his apartment building to a failed chase in a cookie-cutter car. Between his traps, Joep visits Joke, who offers support and occasionally even gives him old items, like a dusty keyboard.
When Joep discovers that his online arch-rival Goinpostal and the delivery guy are one and the same, his world is turned upside down. His nightmares and the endless "we missed you" notes drive him to a final, epic confrontation. But when everything goes wrong, it's his neighbor Joke who saves him and makes him realize that the package might not be as important as he thought.

What do we offer?
We have a limited budget, but we expect we can cover travel expenses. We'll also ensure there's enough food and drinks on set. It's also a great opportunity to gain experience, expand your portfolio, and showcase your talents in a creative project.

Lots of passion (aggression) and loudness while gaming, socially awkward/clumsy. Joep's situation is spiraling out of control, making him more chaotic and angry.

Goinpostal (parcel delivery service)
Between 20 and 30
Communicates with Joep online, so voice recording is necessary. He also reacts aggressively to Joep.
Goinpostal becomes increasingly malicious toward Joep throughout the story. He begins to enjoy the fact that he's always one step ahead of him.

Neighbor Joke
Between 50 and 70
Joke is a typically friendly old woman who acts as a sort of grandmother extra for Joep. She's mostly in quiet scenes with Joep, but also has a few action scenes.
