More and more children in the Netherlands have difficulty with the Dutch language, especially children from underprivileged families or with a migration background. Education often does not have enough time to offer them sufficient language support, while good language proficiency is essential for school performance and social development. The “Droomverhalen” project helps these children by making free educational material available, such as online episodes in which children's books are read aloud. This stimulates language development in a playful way and reduces the gap in language skills, both at home and at school.

What do we offer?
Unfortunately we can't offer anything when it comes to payments. We do provide full catering, so that all participants can enjoy a well-prepared meal and drinks during filming.

We are looking for 1 mature woman with a clear and pleasant reading voice to read a children's book for one day. We are looking for someone who can read with enthusiasm and empathy, so that when we broadcast it, the children are completely absorbed in the story. Experience with reading is a plus, but not a requirement. Are you or do you know someone with a warm voice and a love for stories?

Sofie (mature woman) is the adventurous and enthusiastic storyteller of Dream Stories. With her playful and imaginative style, she takes children on exciting adventures, with her lively voice and expressive gestures bringing the stories to life. She reads in a cozy, colorful environment that reminds of a cozy attic room, and encourages children to dream together and discover new worlds. Her optimistic and cheerful character is a perfect complement to Grandpa Bram, making children feel completely at home with her stories.
