For the coming period, VIPS TV is producing a varied range of creative projects. We are currently preparing four short fiction films (ranging from moving drama and humor to challenging science fiction) and one audio podcast.

What we offer
There is no financial compensation available, but we offer a showreel in return. And you can use the material for your portfolio because the films will be screened publicly, on our platform in any case.

Description
Because we are casting multiple projects simultaneously, we are looking for a broad group of diverse talents. You can apply for the following specific roles (please clearly state which role(s) interest you in your application).

PROJECT 1: AUDIO PODCAST
Boy (around 12 years old): a tad stubborn, a joker, but deep down also a bit of a 'loner'. He starts an audio diary for fun. But when his life is turned completely upside down by a series of events, the dictaphone becomes his ultimate outlet. We are looking for a boy with a natural, expressive voice. The most important thing is that you can deliver text in such a way that it sounds as if you are making it up and recording it on the spot, rather than reading it aloud; spontaneous emotion and empathy.

PROJECT 2:
Boy (8-9 years old) and a Boy (18-19 years old): After all the intense events, the family decides that it is better for the youngest member of the family to go live with his grandparents on the farm to find peace. We follow him as he grows up in the countryside and tries to find his place. The young version (8-9 years old) is a bundle of energy and hothead, but can also be lost in his own mind. The older version (18-19 years old) still has that in him, but is primarily a quiet person who bottles things up, though he eventually blossoms again.

Grandma and Grandpa (65-80 years): Seniors full of character; a stubborn but warm grandpa and a caring grandma who are there for their grandson who is going through a tough time.

Girl (18-19 years old): Sweet and caring, but also a tough type.

Boys (18-19 years): Form a group that hangs out in a shed with which the main character comes into contact.

PROJECT 3:
Boy (18-24 years): Someone who can act very 'dryly' and at the same time funny. The boy in the short film succumbs to the temptation of his favorite craving, leading to a surprising conclusion.

PROJECT 4:
Boy (13-15 years): An exciting science-fiction-style film about a boy and a camera. The boy has a curious demeanor, is strong in portraying surprise and suspense, possibly also displaying some clumsiness and believable ignorance.

PROJECT 5:
Identical twins; boys (around 12-14 years old): Two brothers who look exactly alike and have just started secondary school.
One of the two is somewhat somber and withdrawn, carrying sadness; for this, we are looking for someone who can play with restraint and vulnerability, but also frustration and emotions.
The other is the opposite; energetic, cheeky, a joker who tries to cheer up his brother.

Boy (around 12-14 years old) as a best friend, an open, empathetic, and loyal boy

Mother (35-50 years old) (small role, with a beautiful scene); she watches helplessly from the sidelines but tries to reach her son.

Period
Filming days are scheduled in close consultation with the cast actors as soon as the cast is complete. We coordinate schedules flexibly.
