About me
Founder Gijs van der Meulen, born on April 3, 1979 in Almere, was captivated by light, sound and technology from an early age. At the age of thirteen he already made various compositions on his synthesizer. Two years later he also started playing as a drummer in different bands. In high school he chose electrical engineering. Although his curriculum vitae can best be read from his oeuvre, the relevant education and work experience from his career should not be missing here : * production employee 'Dateq' in Almere ('96 - '97) * chief assembly computer 'All trend' in Almere ('98 - '99) * operator 'Pathe Cinema's BV' in Eindhoven (2000) * sound engineer 'Amsterdam Music Promotions' ('00 - '01) * training audiovisual assistant at 'Video Education Center' ('03-'04 ) * audiovisual employee 'Video Site' in Almere ('04 - '05) Because the demand for his compositions and audiovisual expertise outside his permanent employment was increasing, he decided in 2006 to set up Greyhound Productions. Since then he has had plenty of assignments for numerous artists, television (especially 'Rene Stokvis Productions') and radio ('Salto'). At Greyhound Productions, passion for music and sound is paramount. This means that we not only have an ear for the wishes of our clients, but also literally an ear for detail and quality. In some productions music will have a serving function; in others it will be the main one. In both cases, Greyhound Productions only wants to deliver products that both her client and she are enthusiastic about.
