About me
My name is Michael Kok, I'm 25 years old, and since I was 18 I've been filming, editing, visual effects and recently also making animations.

After completing my HBO study in Media Management in 2010, in which I spent the last two years focusing on my development as a cameraman and editor, I worked freelance for over a year. Sometimes as an editor, mostly as a cameraman.

I then started as a freelancer as Editing FX Video Productions in order to learn as much as possible in the shortest possible time and to be able to develop myself in all aspects of filmmaking. I now think the time is ripe to look further, so I would like to see myself working in a professional organization.

October 2011 – Present
After my studies I worked as a freelance editor/cameraman for a year on various projects. In October 2011 I started my own business under the name Editing FX (FX=Effects) and I produce web video, corporate films, (sports) promotions and I started to specialize more and more in visual effects.

2009 – 2010
In the last year of my studies I did an internship for more than half a year at the EO in Hilversum. There I was partly responsible for the web video for the online magazine and also compiled summaries of various television programs.
Editor Showreels & Castings - creative connectors
2008 – 2009
In the third year of my studies I worked as an intern at Creative Connectors in Amsterdam. This company organizes castings for commercials and television programs, for which I made casting DVDs. The company also employs a number of talents, presenters and actors, for some of whom I made showreels.

Ik volg de opleiding Media & Entertainment Management aan de Hogeschool INHolland Haarlem. Op dit moment zit ik in mijn derde jaar en heb ik vorig jaar gekozen om me te specialiseren op het gebied van camera en montage.
Voor deze studie heb ik mijn VWO diploma gehaald en een jaar Film- en Televisiewetenschappen gevolgd aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam.
