Dhiney Ramos

Dhiney Ramos Productions is a Dutch-Brazilian film company specialising in the production of documentaries. The company has been in existence since January 2011 and has already made short and feature-length documentaries.
Dhiney Ramos is a filmmaker who differs in that he thinks in images. His main characteristics are symbolism and spirituality. His productions include the following films:
2005 'O Cachorro e a Procissão' - The Dog and the Procession. A short 10-minute documentary about the pilgrims in the north-east of Brazil who return every year to honour their saint. Script and direction by Dhiney Ramos. Produced by Charles Vídeo Porto Seguro Brasil.
2010 'Boca Branca' - Boca Branca - A 20-minute short documentary about an artisanal stone craftsman in rural Brazil. Script, production and direction by Dhiney Ramos. Post-production by Varanda da Fama Filmes Brasil.
2012 Thirsty Beets - 40min short and long documentary about a club in the north of Holland. The participants compete every year to grow the heaviest beetroot. Script, production and play direction by Dhiney Ramos. Post-production by Ton Hamers.
2015 'In the name of the mother, the son, and the sacred procession' - In the name of the mother, the son, and the sacred procession. - A 70-minute documentary. While filming a procession, a documentary maker discovers that his mother's past and his own are intertwined. He then decides to film these special events.
This film was a finalist at the 2016 Figueira da Foz International Film Festival. Portugal.
2020 Father of a Broken Angel. - A 90-minute long documentary about a family drama. But told by the father. What makes the film special is that the father achieves one of humanity's greatest triumphs. He manages to overcome himself. And he chooses to love his son. Completed in June 2020, the film has already won more than 10 awards at international film festivals.
2021 Lothar de ogri boi a artista mundial - 90-minute documentary about the life and work of the Surinamese artist. Lothar Vigelandson. The film will be completed in April 2021.
2021 Sauerkraut - 28min short documentary about a farmer who shows how he makes his sauerkraut the traditional way. The film is in post-production and will be finished in the summer of 2021.
