Navid Nikkhah Azad is an acclaimed Iranian short film director based in Amsterdam. He is a member of Dutch Director Guild (DDG).
His short films have been screened at over 300 international festivals, earning numerous awards. One of his notable short films "The Recess," which brings the story of self-immolated football fan Sahar Khodayari to life, has been selected in more than 160 film festivals, earning more than 30 awards and more than 30 nominations.
