About me
Joey draws upon his background in political science and expertise in human rights to shape his documentaries. He has previously created the award-winning documentary Burden of Peace (Human/Framewerk), which tells the story of a Guatemalan attorney general who fought against corruption and organized crime. Joey has also directed the internationally distributed documentary series Terror (NTR/Topkapi), made a documentary about the illegal gold industry in Suriname (VICE), and directed I Know Your Password, a series that explores the dark web, ransomware, and online shaming (Videoland/Villain Studios).
