About me
My name is Donnavon Madaran.
I've had the privilege of playing Lars in the NPO's hit series "Dertigers" and have played both leading and supporting roles in award-winning festival films. For example, "Hantu" screened at the Netherlands Film Festival (short film), "RELEASE" premiered at Roze Filmdagen, the largest queer film festival in Amsterdam, and "OUT" premiered at Frameline in San Francisco and was recently sold to France. The feature film also won Best Film at the East London LGBTQ+ Film Festival.
"Night Red" will be shown at the Femme Filth Festival in Los Angeles in early 2025, will be shown in New York in October, and "Esper" premiered at the Limburg Film Festival.
I studied for four years at the Method Acting Studio in Amsterdam under the guidance of Hollywood acting coach André Landzaat. Before that, I was selected for the Talent Program at De Toneelmeester, where I received instruction in everything related to acting, including basic acting, working with directors, character development, improvisation, and performance creation.
I currently study the Chubbuck Technique with Romy Irene in Amsterdam. I've also attended training sessions with the founder of this technique, Ivana Chubbuck. She has worked with artists including Brad Pitt, Halle Berry, and Jim Carrey.
