About me

Michael Bucuzzo is a US-born filmmaker, editor and sound designer including Ondi Timoner's 'Mapplethorpe', Daniel Goldhaber's Netflix thriller 'Cam' and Laurie Anderson's 'Heart of a Dog'. He also edited Alexandria Bombach's "On Her Shoulders," which received the 2018 Sundance US Documentary Directing Award.

In terms of post-production, I worked as an editor on the award-winning Sundance documentary On Her Shoulders. In addition, I was the sound designer and SFX editor on the Netflix horror thriller, Cam. After that project, I took on the role of SFX editor for the Ondi Timoner biopic, Mapplethorpe. I also worked with artist Laurie Anderson and former Jim Jarmusch editor Melody London as an editing assistant on Heart of a Dog, now in the criteria collection.

I received the 2012 Stephen D. Paine Award in Boston, MA and have exhibited my own films at festivals around the world.
