About me
Hello, my name is Robin Verkerk.
I work as a .NET programmer because as a child I spent a lot of time on the computer and it seemed like a logical direction and now that I'm older I want something that is a lot more adventurous than programming.
The reason I think I might have a predisposition is because as a child I was always impersonating someone else. Whether I was making it up to be someone from my games or someone I knew. Sometimes I would have whole conversations (out loud) with myself and other versions of myself if I am schizophrenic, I did this in private because I was ashamed of it.
I have done every playback show in the past, once with a friend, and 7 times alone, of course I was nervous of the audience but that quickly went away once I transformed myself into the person who originally sang the song, and the emotions that were there when that person wrote it.
I got a completely different character with different standards and values when I impersonated someone. And I still do this, I am convinced that with a text and some description I can come up with a character, and put it on screen well.
