Willemijn Ponten

Hi, I'm Willemijn,
I am enthusiastic about stories whether it is in the form of film, music, text or something else. I like it all but I focus on film because it combines all kinds of different techniques and art forms into one whole. That way you create something that is accessible to a large group of people and can touch on different (emotional) levels.
In 2021 I completed my Film Production (BA) degree at Gloucestershire University in England. Before that I completed a Creative Media BTEC at Chichester College.
During my education I have held the roles of director, editor, producer, production designer/art director, 1st AD, and costume designer.
I have briefly held these roles on smaller projects; gaffer, boom op, sound recordist, art runner/set dresser, script supervisor.
In these cases it is all about short films and micro short films. The shortest project an advertisement of 30 seconds and the longest a short film of almost 12 minutes (Indelible Lives). This 12 minute film was crowdfunded and was selected by a few (small) festivals, including Lift Off Global Network - London.
I also wrote a number of scripts during this time and helped others with them.
