About me
Wynona Bakker is a 25-year-old filmmaker and photographer based in The Hague. During her studies in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology, she discovered that she wanted to approach social issues in a more creative way. After traveling extensively, she started studying Audiovisual Design at the Willem de Kooning art academy in Rotterdam, where she works as a storyteller with video and photography. Because of her background as an illustrator and affinity for writing, she combines her eye for design and form with telling stories through images.

During my study Audiovisual Design I followed the graduation minor Creative Storytelling at Hogeschool Utrecht, where I worked with storytelling through theatre, dance and performance, for which I produced a short dance film. I worked for BNNVARA as a camerawoman and journalist, editor and editor and worked on programs for Hollands Hoop, Typical and Oogappels, among others. As a freelancer I regularly make documentaries, video clips and short films.

Als fotograaf, filmmaker en regisseur zoek ik altijd gevoelige onderwerpen om bespreekbaar te maken en die een sterk, persoonlijke verhaal vertolken. Mijn films spelen zich af op de grens tussen documentaire en fictie en typeren zich door een authentieke, dromerige sfeer met veel aandacht voor de visuele uitwerking en een sterke link met natuur, emotie en intuïtie. Ik streef ernaar mijn visie op mens en natuur te delen en daarmee anderen te inspireren de connectie met de natuur te hervinden en dichter bij de natuur te staan.
