Actor Merijn de Jong was born on September 27, 1981 in Amsterdam. He debuted at the age of nine in the musical "Les Miserables" by Joop van den Ende in the role of Gavroche and then played at a young age in various opera productions of the Dutch Opera Foundation.
Merijn de Jong will then graduate from De Amsterdamse Toneelschool & Kleinkunst Academie in the summer of 2006, after which he will immediately start working for companies such as the Nationale Toneel, Carver and d'Electrique.
He played in several successful productions directed by Susanne Kennedy, Gerardjan Rijnders and Ola Mafaalani. With Gijs de Lange, Merijn and his own theater group de Pooiers made the lunchtime performance "Tomorrow I do it
