Karlijn van Bekkum

Hi! My name is Karlijn van Bekkum and I have my own translation company that specializes in film and television. I worked as a freelance AV specialist for some time and during this period I worked on various corporate films, commercials and student films. After taking an additional Scenario course at the Schrijversvakschool, I wrote several scenarios for students and production companies.
I have been a graduate for some time now and am a sworn translator from English to Dutch. My company, Karlijn van Bekkum Translations, mainly focuses on my specialization, namely translations for films and television. For example, consider the following types of text:

• the synopsis, treatment and screenplay;
• the script, the breakdown, shooting schedule and decoupage list;
• the subtitling, dubbing and voice-over script;
• publicity material: trailers, online articles, reviews, advertisements for TV, radio and printed matter, registrations for film festivals, for example, and all kinds of legal documentation.
