Born in Denmark, raised in the Algarve and England and living in the Netherlands since 1994. His career in the Dutch film industry gave him the opportunity to experience many facets of filmmaking: he has worked as a crew member in camera, light, grip, production, art department, special effects and first assistant. After more than ten years of gaining experience on all kinds of sets, Kristjan decided to direct. Supplemented by workshops such as the Rutger Hauer Film Factory, Kristjan is completely self-taught. Patch, the film starring Karen Spanjer, has found distribution through Shorts TV and has been screened at the LA Shorts Fest and the Madrid International Film Festival, among others. The film has also been awarded with many nominations and awards.
