About me
I am a TV producer with nearly 9 years’ experience of working on a wide range of factual TV shows for the UK and US markets and have worked on some of the most successful and high profile series broadcast in both countries. I now want to work in the Dutch TV industry, particularly on projects with an international focus. I speak good conversational Dutch but not fluently.
I have a strong creative instinct and natural interest and knowledge of current affairs, history, politics and popular science. Working on some of the biggest programmes across a wide genre (specialist factual, current affairs, factual entertainment, comedy) for major broadcasters and in development, I have abundant experience across key areas; generating original ideas, writing treatments, securing sensitive interviews and access, setting-up complex international shoots, working with fixers, conducting solid journalistic research, shooting and edit – producing taster tapes / sizzles, sourcing a wide range of contributors and locations, working closely with talent, extensive casting and people finding, writing scripts, archive research, compliance, recording sound and self-shooting (Canon XF305/105). I am passionate about developing and producing gripping content that sparks new ways of thinking and brings to life ideas and stories from our world.
Having worked in London during this time, I am now looking to re-locate to and work in the Netherlands, a country with an outstanding TV heritage and culture and one which I would love to contribute further to.
