About me
Hi! I'm Marit. A filmmaker based in Amsterdam. I work as a director, producer screenwriter and researcher to create documentary, fiction and music videos with atmospheric visuals or informative content depending on each unique story's needs. I believe in the power of stories to create social change. My strength is my ability to listen, to find the core of a story and translate it into a creative concept. I always apply my research skills to find the right narrative and tell it in the most impactful way. I graduated with honors as a film director from the University of the Arts Utrecht and hold a Master's Degree in Arts & Society from the Utrecht University, including electives from the MA Postcolonial & Gender studies and a degree from the ELTE University in Budapest.
