About me
During my studies at the HKU (Audiovisual Media) I specialized in animation in both traditional techniques and (2D) computer animation. For my graduation project I worked on an information animation film for the day treatment of the VUmc. This resulted in a number of edits for other hospitals in the Netherlands. After that I had various jobs as a designer (DTP, animation, visuals, etc.). Since 2005 I have been working at one of the most well-known internet companies in the Netherlands, Marktplaats. Within this company I have taken on various roles over the years. I started as support for the Product Development Team and then grew into a broader role where I also supported Marketing. Eventually I became Team Leader Design and was responsible for brand monitoring. A few years ago mobile became more important and I started to focus more on designs for the iOS and Android apps. Now I am a User Experience Designer and in addition I worked hard in 2016 to refresh the Marktplaats brand (among other things the new logo is from my hand). In addition to my full-time job, I work in my wife's audiovisual production company, where I focus on video editing and (motion) graphics.
