Alonso Vazquez is an artist and architect based in Amsterdam. In his work he explores the acoustic qualities of our environment as a condition for creating and materializing space.
In 2014 he obtained his master's degree at the department Studio for Immediate Spaces within Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam.
After graduating he developed his practice working in several projects and collaborating with many artists and organisations. In 2015 Alonso founded Unit19 – a platform for research, speculation and production of sound and space ICW KruxAmsterdam.
Recently his work has been shown at Momart (Amsterdam), Onomatopee (Eindhoven), Høytlesing og boklansering – Arkitektur & Fiksjon (Oslo), and featured in The One Minutes 'Nyau Cinema' project or Kunst Reserve Bank (Amsterdam).
