About me
My name is Geart Vaessen, I am 21 years old and live in Leeuwarden. On September 1, 2012 I started the film course: Film & Media at the Friesland college. I have learned a lot since then and completed my studies on June 24, 2015.
During my studies I gained a lot of experience, for example I did an internship at NDC Mediagroep where I had to create news items for the website of several Frisian weeklies (mainly Huis aan Huis). The interesting thing about the internship was that I had to do everything myself, so in addition to filming, I also had to do interviews, do editorial work, arrange the lighting and sound and edit the videos.
Other internships I did were at Froeks TV, the youth channel on the internet and Cambuur TV, the broadcaster behind the football club SC Cambuur.
