∆ Paul Singler: documentary filmmaker/cameraman/teacher (Summary CV 2007) With a background as a Communications Scientist, I have professionalized myself in the last 10 years as a maker of film and television programs, cameraman, and teacher. After the documentary directing workshop of the International Documentary Festival (IDFA) led by Jan Vrijman, I made a number of information films and for the public broadcaster, as a director (and sometimes also as a cameraman/producer), the following documentaries:
Grain for Vis, about the meeting of a group of African bus tourists with the Dutch polder events, (screened at IDFA on 16mm and at VPRO),
Africa in Picture, about the dissatisfaction of African filmmakers with the one-sidedly negative image that Europeans have of Africa (IKON),
Pixels of Pain, about seeing war violence on television (HOS),
'Back To Camp Document;' the bizarre story of a Dutch girl who returns to the work camp in Russia where she was imprisoned for 3 years (NCRV).

The Last Kompels, Document; about a former mining village in Z-Limburg (NCRV)

My camera work was shown at NCRV-Dokument, NCRV\'s 'Hooray a Child', an Africa documentary from the IKON, a school program about refugees in Zambia for 'People in Need', KRO's 'Lieve Martine', Zembla from the NPS, Studio NL from the Wereldomroep, CNN, a current affairs program from Net 5, ' 2 Today', RTL4-Nieuws, RTL-Z, VPRO's internet program WEB, Kindernet, Socutera , Soerabaja-Surabaya (doc), many of my own documentaries and a versatile number of other programmes.
