In January 2000 I graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts with the study Audiovisual Media.
After graduating, I worked as a professional video editor for over 6.5 years. Within this position I have made many videos for business, television, museums, exhibitions and cinema. My greatest affinity lies with documentary, in addition to which I also enjoy producing and editing short films, programs and video clips. My strongest point is my ability to create stories, within the role of video editor I can make a good and quick selection of existing material to create a compelling visual story. I am technically fully up to date with the latest audiovisual developments and love nothing more than to combine my technical knowledge and creativity to deliver videos of the highest quality.
For the past 5 years I have mainly worked outside the Netherlands as a trainer of video and journalism. I trained a large group of young video journalists in Burma (Myanmar) and Haiti and successfully produced many documentaries and developed media campaigns.
I am currently finishing my own documentary about Burmese migrant workers in Thailand. This film was shot partly in Thailand and partly in Burma and highlights the personal stories of 4 young migrants.
