About me
What started in the early summer of 2009, through my support of the production 'Little Sam's journey', was continued in the beginning of 2010 by completely changing course. I have decided to follow my gut and leave the hospitality industry for the cultural sector as a self-employed person.
Interesting to me is the tension between the artistic creation process and business interests.
I see the challenge in monitoring the progress of the various projects and performances, as well as raising funds through subsidies / co-producers / sponsors, etc.
Founded in 2009, E live cinema works is a production house that is engaged in making film and live musical performance on an equal level.
The creative enterprise is located in one of the total of 35 studios of breeding ground 'De Bonte Zwaan'. This building is fantastically located in the water of the western banks of the IJ in the area of the Houthavens in Amsterdam.
The performances developed by permanent screenwriter and director Paul E Visser, who is also the founder of E live cinema works, are developed and created in collaboration with external artists.
The goal of E live cinema works is to bring a new experience to film experience in a theatrical setting. explained in more detail; Theatrical musical performance where film and live music meet in a theater setting where neither discipline is subordinate to each other, but forms an inseparable story that bridges the gap between cinema and theatrical musical performance.

Research project 'Little Sam's journey'
(completed – summer 2009)
Goal
Initiative as a precursor for the current 'Versus' project. The objective of this project was to get confirmation whether certain technical factors and working methods are successful or not. With the prospect of developing a multidisciplinary performance (narrative film with a live musical performance), it was necessary to record certain choices in making. This is in the interest of realizing 'Versus' in 2010.
Preparation
Paul E Visser has taken on the development of the script and the recruitment of cast and crew. After several meetings with the crew, Paul E Visser and I developed a shot list. Subsequently, I was responsible for the planning for the total of 2 shooting days. Paul E Visser directed both shooting days, and I was responsible as first assistant.
With great thanks to all employees of this project, we can say that it was a success. We have learned a lot from this research project and this has ensured that the development of 'Versus' is now in full swing.

Development to realization project 'Versus'
(in progress – release late 2010)
Goal
Launch of the new production house E live cinema works with the premiere of the multidisciplinary project 'Versus'. A story is told through spoken image with live musical performance during the performance.
Progress
The research phase (idea development / research project / concept extension) has been completed.
We are now in the preparation phase. Paul E Visser is working on the character descriptions and screenplay. I'll take care of the financing. Together we work on putting together the film crew and recruiting the director and cast. The interpretation of the musical part (composer and musicians, as well as composition and performance) is led by Paul E Visser.
