Saad Jasim

During my childhood I grew up between my father's art. Since then my interest in it has increased. Because of this I studied graphic art in the art academy of Baghdad. After my studies I worked as a photojournalist in my native Iraq. In 1999 I emigrated to the Netherlands. In the Netherlands I have had many opportunities to further develop my talent. I have followed several courses in the field of photography and camera journalist. In 2002 I published a photo book about the lives of asylum seekers in the Netherlands. In addition, I gained experience as a camera journalist from the Netherlands for an Arabic channel. I also made several short films that were screened in the Arabic film festival in Rotterdam and in the Abu Dhabi film festival. Right now I'm working as a filmmaker and as a photographer.
