About me
I am a traveler by nature. Traveling is the basis of my life experience. Curiosity is another driving force for making films. In the past I have practiced various branches of the film sport, including commercials (Koedijk Film), feature films (George Sluizer, Adriaan Ditvoorst), commissioned films (Paul Huf, Toonder Studio's). For a number of years I produced workshops for IDFA (George Sluizer, Hans Keller, Jan Blokker, Jan Vrijman). Since 1994 I have also been working under my own foundation Het Pakhuys, including the documentary film Mi lombrishi about 350 years of Jewish community on Curaçao. From 2004 to 2011 I set up and managed KidDocs, a documentary film festival for young people (high school students) on the five islands of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba, with a total of over 50,000 visitors. Currently developing documentary film plans with Curaçao in the 'leading role'.

KidDocs can rightly be called a success. I am proud to set up a project in the Antilles as 'Makamba', to expand it every year and in which 95% of the schools for secondary and further (vocational) education participated. Unfortunately, it had to stop at its peak, partly for financial reasons.
