About me
Peter van Drunen (1981) is basically a true songwriter. Writing songs is in his blood. The piano and guitar have been his faithful companions since childhood.
However, over the years Peter has developed his entire musical breadth and has grown into a very versatile musician.
In the past 12 years he played (and plays) in various bands as a guitarist, bass guitarist, keyboardist and/or singer. Various styles such as pop, indietronic, rock and grunge passed by. In this period Peter built up his instrumental skills and learned more and more about writing songs.
Peter's musical world expanded enormously when he discovered the possibilities of a computer as an instrument. All possible instruments were suddenly available to him in digital form. His computer changed into a virtual sound studio with a click of the mouse. And what's more, he could now form a complete band solo without any limitations.
Since 2002, Peter has been active as a producer of electronic music and laptop musician. Under various aliases (including Autonon and Petr Passive), he makes music that is often characterized by a combination of progressive crossovers of genres, an experimental sound and traditional singer/songwriter elements.
In 2007, Peter became one of the four winners of the B-Stage project of BraM (organization for music in Brabant) under the alias 'Autonon'. With this laptop act he performed on various stages and festivals including Vredenburg, Effenaar, 013, Virus Festival, Breda Barst Festival, ...
In the meantime, Peter has released several albums and EPs as 'Autonon' and 'Petr Passive' on national and international music labels: Basserk (Amsterdam), Bitcrusher Records (London), Kaometry (London), Vermin Street (Boston, USA).
Applied music:
As a composer and producer of applied music, Peter has gained the necessary experience.
He worked with the talented VJ collective De Kijkbuiskinderen on various projects for Bavaria, STRP Festival, Stranger Festival and the Chamber of Commerce.
But Peter also produced music and sound for Mo'Warped, which makes fantastic animations and films.
Peter composes and produces music for a wide range of applications. For example, very detailed and precisely timed sounds for animated films, atmospheric soundscapes for websites, catchy tunes for corporate films, complete soundtracks for documentaries and more!
