Hi, I'm Eli. I'm British, but I live in the Netherlands and I've been an actor all my life. Some actors are all about ego and looking good. I'm all about openness and being good, whether it's on- or off-camera.
What I'm great at is genuine presence, attention and vulnerability. In an authoritative role that might mean a caring teacher or a doctor. For comedy, it's the office nerd or the fall guy. Closer to home, it might be the husband or dad struggling to do the right thing in impossible circumstances.
Whatever the role, I believe you can't expect an audience to watch you if you're trying to hide at the same time. In an age of quick content and scattered attention, we deserve better. So let's be better.
