Refugee of sorrows | Open call for producer, cinematographer and the rest of the team

Guided by an old former Dutch sex worker, a Russian gay refugee escapes the numbness and deprivation of life on the Rotterdam refugee ship by plunging into the new turbulent world of paid desire. As he battles disgust toward his clients and himself, he chooses survival and comfort, but loses his close transgender friend, with whom he came from home country.

Motherland | Searching for agent and producers

A single transphobic mother, a major in the Russian police, travels to the Netherlands to investigate the death of her transgender refugee daughter and after that bury the remains in the motherland. Steeped in Russian state propaganda, she plunges into the complex and contradictory reality of Europe, only to discover that her daughter had taken her own life. Eventually, in order to go on living herself, she will have to acknowledge her responsibility for her daughter’s death, embark on the path of repentance, and accept her child after death as she was in life.

Dedicated independent director, screenwriter, and producer, with over ten years of experience in TV, fiction, documentary, and animation, committed to delivering high-quality storytelling across formats.
Originally from Russia and now based in the Netherlands, I focus on socially engaged, art-house films exploring LGBTQIA+ topics, migration, religion, oppression of women, and violence. Trained as both a psychologist and a director, I combine emotional insight with strong production organization and creative leadership.

I established a motion picture company, named Taboo, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I am convinced that discussing taboo topics helps individuals and societies become aware of the discourses that unconsciously shape us. Taboo is dedicated to fostering personal freedom from prejudice, paving the way for social justice and compassion towards others by providing provocative, sharp, and relevant narratives through documentaries and feature films.
