Marv Hathim was born in Zaanstad, the Netherlands, to Muayyed Hathim and Rudhab Salih, and raised in IJsselmuiden. He comes from a family with roots in Iraq and works as a screenwriter and director.
Since 2022, he has been studying for a Bachelor at the Dutch Filmers Academy in Amsterdam, with graduation expected in 2026.

His debut film, the romantic drama The Thought of You (2024), gained international recognition and won “Best Original Screenplay” at the New York International Film Awards. He followed this with the psychological drama The Missing Part (2025), which received a nomination For "Best Narrative" at the International Film Festival The Hague. 

His latest film, Love After Life (2025), explores themes of love, adoption, and connection. It has already won “Best Film” at the Hollywood Best Indie Film Awards and has been submitted to festivals worldwide.
