To start with, I like to tell you something about my hobbies. It is important to me to stay mentally and physically fit, which is why I regularly walk or jog. I am also very busy with art and photography. Through my studies in photography, I learned to look at the world differently and developed a strong sense of detail. I like to express this feeling in my painting, an activity that brings me a lot of relaxation. I also think it is important to further develop my interest in art and culture, something I do by regularly visiting museums. I acquired my interest in culture during the various trips I made. In 2022 I spent six months in South America, where I got acquainted with the Spanish language, the delicious food and the way of life. In addition, I have been coming to Egypt for over 13 years, a country that I visit frequently because of family who have migrated there. During my first visit to Egypt I was astonished by the chaos, smells and all kinds of events that are not normal in the Netherlands. However, I soon noticed that I became accustomed to the situation and my visits to the country taught me a lot about our world and fellow humans, as well as the role you can take as an individual in building bridges between different cultures and groups. I think it is important to continue learning every day and notice that there is still a large part of the world at my feet. This has made me very curious and eager to learn and to pursue my goals decisively. I have currently been with my boyfriend for over 2 years, which means that I am part of the LGBTQ+ community. That is a part of me that I am proud of and what has shaped me as a person.
