Sibrich Wijnia (2001) is a Frisian filmmaker currently based in Rotterdam. Her work is focused on our cultural identity, human relationships and history. Often looking to the past to understand the present, she finds the nuances and brings them out. She enjoys working on films and projects with a focus on under-represented stories to bring them to the fore. She is currently working on her graduation film focused on fan fiction and literature and will graduate from the Audiovisual Design course at the Willem de Kooning Academy in 2024. After which she wants to further develop her skills as a director and producer.
