I am a filmmaker and artistic researcher from India, presently PhD Arts candidate with Leiden University. I studied Master of Film: Artistic Research in and through Cinema from the Netherlands Film Academy and M.A. Mass Communication from AJK MCRC Jamia Millia Islamia University in India. My previous film works have been screened at film festivals, galleries, museums and universities across the world. I won the 64th National Award of India for my Debut film 'A Ballad of Maladies' based on the art and music of resistance in Kashmir. As an editor, I have worked on several documentary films, series, TV shows and OTT content in a span of over a ten-year long professional career in the field.
