Beau Cyrano Meevis is a 32 year old Dutch writer/director who recently made his first professional short film with “Swansong” (2023). He Graduated with a masters degree from the film academy in Genk, Belgium in 2017. He specifically went to that school because next to practical film lesson there was a huge emphasis on theoretical classes like philosophy and psychology which drastically changed his look on film. He started his own company to do commercial film work and wrote for television but after writing two contest winning feature film screenplays he wanted to direct his own fiction films. “Swansong” is the first of two short films he is producing, writing and directing, wanting to use the projects as his calling card to direct his first feature film.
