My name is Dewi Cheyenne Inesia and I was born on May 9, 2002 in Amsterdam. I am an all-round musical performer, (voice) actress, singer and writer who works in various branches of the entertainment industry. I feel at home on stage. I find it incredibly interesting to put myself in the shoes of a character, to experience the world as someone other than myself, to feel what my character would feel and to convey this feeling to an audience. To amuse and entertain people, but also to touch them with my playing, and to make them think about the world and the people around them. As a black, queer actress, I strive to create a representative image in the entertainment industry. I do my work not only for myself, but also for all the little Dewis in the room. To show them that you can never dream too big, and that they too deserve a spot on stage, regardless of their appearance, background or sexual orientation. In addition to my musical training at the Dutch Academy of Performing Arts, I am actively pursuing my career in the entertainment industry, both in theater and for TV and film (including as a voice actor). I also have experience in translating, writing and directing performances. Last year I wrote my own solo performance “A Strange Loop”, translated from English where necessary, directed and performed myself. During my education at the Dutch Academy of Performing Arts, I gained experience in the field of musical lessons and giving workshops to children and young people by completing the exam component “Education”, which included giving a series of workshops to children in the target group 4 to 11 years old.
