trackrecord
As for my work experience in the audiovisual field, I would highlight my job at Deluxe Spain, a leading company in audiovisual video, sound post-production, and dubbing. As part of the department of Technician Operations, I have been perfecting my skills in a business context with programs such as DaVinci, Pro Tools and Adobe MediaEncover. More details about this and other information about my work experience can be found on my CV.
Finally, I want to highlight my job in the audiovisual production company Utopic. For seven months, I worked as a post-production assistant, editing videos and as an assistant on shoots. We worked a lot for an advertising agency that worked mostly for pharmaceutical companies. We created above all b2b and corporate videos. At first, this might not seem very creative, but the challenge was to find the right balance to find the right balance between respecting the client's wants and needs and providing my perspective and my personal set of skills in order to produce something both professional and authentic.
I consider that the jobs I have had in the field have helped me to learn and develop the skills I’ve learnt during my studies and mostly they’ve taught me to move easily in this kind of work environment.
However, I believe that my project called AmorS is my greatest achievement.
I started this project on my own because I wanted to create something that is mainly done by myself. I think it's very important to show different sides of yourself, so that's what I wanted to show with this project. I try to put all my skills all together in one project, as I’ve filmed, check the light, sound, and then I’ve done all the postproduction.
To make it even more personal the documentary’s subject is something that really matters to me. I wanted to research and teach about a subject that could be part of a conversation over coffee with me.
So my main goal is that when you watch AmorS you really see myself there, you can see my skills, and capabilities but can also see what drives me, what inspires me, what excites me, what my aesthetic is…
This documentary takes us into the plurality of love and sex-affective relationships, through the experience of eleven protagonists. From the most traditional or normative example to the most innovative or unusual. AmorS aims to provide the spectator with multiple examples of different relational and affective models and different ways of understanding love. Presenting love as a feeling that each person experiences differently and showing that there is no single valid relational model and that they all deserve recognition.
This is the first chapter of a documental series that I want to continue carrying it out.
Finally, I present this first chapter as a final project for my master’s to have the opportunity to have the help and feedback from my teachers. In the end, as I said I achieved the highest score of my promotion (A+) and, at the moment, I'm waiting to present it at several festivals.
ask me for
I'm versed in the editing and post-production process, operating with tools like Premiere, Final Cut, Protools for audio editing, and also a little bit of Avid Media Composer.
I am also familiarized with software like DaVinci for colour correction and I have a basic level of After Effects for compositions, movement trajectories, masks and shapes, 2D Motion Graphics, and some basic 3D Compositing.
This knowledge is accredited by a master's degree in video editing at FX Animation school.
I am also qualified for all the operations assigned to a web and social media UX and UI designer. I can create content but also design interactivity depending on the customer, develop storylines, etc.
specifics
I'm an attentive and detail-oriented learner who can work either as an individual or as part of a team. I consider myself a fairly reserved person, and it’s a little bit hard for me at the begging to express my ideas.
However at the same time once I have developed trust I think I can be a really good team player, furthermore, it’s really important for me to be satisfied with my work, so I always try to do my best, and if that requires to cooperate with work colleagues I’ll put all my energy from day one.
I would say one of my greatest strengths is that I am a swift learner. I consider that I have adjusted well and very quickly to every workplace I’ve ever been to, related to this field or not. I'm very curious and observant,, and I don't mind asking questions if I have any doubts. So I would say I have a lot of initiative. For example:
In my last role in Barcelona, we have a lot of work, since we are dubbing series that are going to be broadcast in a very short time, and I had to learn very quickly to be able to help my colleagues to get deliveries as quickly as possible.
I know how to work with deadlines, as I work best under pressure. As I said, I am a curious and observant person, so if there isn’t some form of a time restriction, I can pay too much attention to small details. I think this can sometimes add potential to the work, but it can slow it down if there is no limit, such as a deadline.
I think that I am also very consistent with my work, very organised and I always try to bring my authentic point to what I do, without losing sight the client's idea or the work team's specifications.
