I am Abi Meekel, born in Amsterdam in 1996, and I spent a significant part of my life in Johannesburg from 2004 to 2020. I am currently based in Amsterdam. My academic journey led me to achieve Honors (with distinction) at Wits University in 2019, specializing in Film and Television with a focus on audiovisual design.

In the years spanning from 2017 to 2019, I embarked on a creative journey, showcasing art installation pieces and transitioning into a multifaceted professional role. During this time, I delved into various aspects of video production, including freelance camera work, sound recording, compositing, visual effects, on/off-line editing, graphic and motion design, as well as music scoring for video productions.

One of the highlights of my career was co-directing a film that received recognition at the Recontres Des Internationales Berlin/Paris in 2019. Additionally, the video game "AfterHOURS," for which I provided music scoring and sound engineering, earned a prestigious nomination at the IGF Awards in San Francisco, ultimately winning the 'best game' award.

My specialties encompass a wide range of creative disciplines, including graphic design, sound design, compositing, visual effects, on/off-line editing, camera work, graphic and motion design, sound design, and music scoring for video productions.
