I feel completely at home in the media world and this is why:
Job on the field
I studied an extra year to really focus on the practical aspects of the entire communications sector. That was also the moment I discovered my passion for production. I really enjoy coordinating (helping to) coordinate shooting days and getting my hands dirty. I attach great importance to teamwork and will help come up with a solution for every problem.
A to Z
I love to translate scenarios into concrete briefings and call sheets. This is mainly due to the lively process and the various steps in which I leave nothing to chance from the start. I examine everything thoroughly during research and when looking for locations, props and extras. After all, a dirt-cheap sports car on Ebay can actually be very small. In addition, the tight deadlines that often accompany the entire production give me an extra energy boost. In order to meet these every time, I swore allegiance to the inventor of the checklists. This way I keep track of every detail and the productions run (slightly less) smoothly.
No nine-to-five attitude
Sorry Dolly Parton, but throughout my internships and first work experience I have never had a 9-to-5 mentality. This function is also extremely versatile and working a few extra hours to deliver a great result does not scare me at all. I therefore give 100% to all projects.
Experience vs. enthusiasm and drive
My adventure in production has already included some very interesting Belgian projects at Wenneker.be, De Pit - Medialaan and De Filistijnen - VRT. Although my experience seems mediocre, I am eager to bring even more fantastic assignments to a successful conclusion!
