Valesca van Rees is a screenwriter, born in the North of the Netherlands, in Groningen. In 2004, she became mother of Luka. Valesca studied Sport Management at the Sport Management Institute (SMI) in Groningen. In addition to her regular job, she also worked as a qualified football coach (soccer) for ten years. When Valesca started to work as an expat in 2000, she moved abroad, and lived in Tbilisi, Kiev, Brussels, Cairo, The Hague and Beijing.
