Manon Beernink (1996) graduated in 2021 from St.Joost School of Art & Design in Breda. As a feminist maker, she directs and writes films and is active as a photographer. With her work she mainly focuses on people with an emphasis on their emotions. Vulnerability, of herself and that of the work, plays a major role in this. The film work she makes often has a documentary storyline. Today's life, if fictional; staged, but rough, portrayed. She writes, develops and directs her own film productions, such as Amantes , in collaboration with Aurora Albin, which premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival 2022. She is currently working on several new projects, including a new photography project called Humming Bird, a documentary project called Quarter crisis: generations in crisis & the development of a new film titled Horizontal Downward.
