Since I was thirteen, I've been performing with the theater group De Dialoog in Harderwijk. There, I not only learned to act but also to create my own shows. In recent years, I've developed several of my own productions, mainly monologues. During that process, I discovered how much I love writing. I write a lot of poems and also recite them on stage.
Over the years, I've also focused on working with children. Currently, I teach theater to children with disabilities at Wilde Kunst. Guiding their creative process and seeing their self-confidence grow gives me great satisfaction.
Besides theater, I took singing lessons for several years. Currently, I'm taking movement classes and working with different dance styles to gain more control over my body and to make more conscious use of physical expression in my playing. Next week, I'll start piano lessons because I have the ambition to create my own cabaret performances. I think it would be valuable to be able to accompany myself musically, making my work even more personal and richly layered.
