Henk Boudewijns (1957, Hellevoetsluis) is a versatile photographer who, after studying at the Fotovakschool, first started at a photo press agency.
After this he worked for an advertising agency, newspaper publisher, International Photo Agency,
healthcare and arts and culture organizations and businesses.

In addition to commissioned work, he makes a lot of free work, using various techniques, such as collages, staging and coloring his black-and-white photos with colored pencil.

The free work has a high poetic quality linked to alienation effects that increase the enigma and mysticism of the image.
However, the basis remains unadulterated photography.
Henk lives and works in Assen.
