Josephine Arendsen, born in Culemborg (2005), started as an actress in 2012 with the traveling theater company Positive Coachen, where she still plays the child roles of “Anne” and “Lotte”.
Since then, she has played several leading roles in various musicals, including the annual musicals “Ten in the air” and “O dy Zeën” by RTL Talent Academy (2015 and 2016). In 2017, Josephine played in the performance “Beauty and the Beast” at Maas Theater and Dans and in 2018 she performed as “Holly Jolly Kid” at the opening of the national Christmas season “It's Christmas time 2018”. In 2019, she starred in 'Bugsy Malone' at Barrie Stevens Broadway Talents. In 2020 she danced at Fontys' preliminary training final performance; MusicAllFactory in Tilburg in #KevinKoopman.
Josephine is currently following the Musical Masters weekend course.
In 2015, she played in front of a camera for the first time in the Emmy Kids Award-winning children's television series: “Kasper en de Kerstengelen” by director Aniëlle Webster in the role of Isa.
In 2016 she worked again with Webster and played the leading role in the episode “the operation” of the children's teleseries ENG.
In 2019 she made her film debut in the leading role of Tess in the family film “My very strange week with Tess” directed by Steven Wouterlood. In 2019 she will play a leading role in the scripted series 'the final musical' by AvroTros. In 2020 she played the leading role in the cinema film 'My Best Friend Anne Frank' directed by Ben Sombogaart.
Josephine attends the IVKO art school in Amsterdam. She is also following the musical and dance preparatory course at Musical Masters.
