I work as a creative director within film. As an award winning director, with a background in film editing I have over 15 years of freelance experience as a film and creative director. I have directed (international) brand content films, TVCs, fiction- and documentary films around the world.
My main focus in directing film content and creative content has been highlighting cultural trends and impact storytelling. Additionally, I have extensive experience in creating new concepts and brand identities, both well funded and independent.
I have worked with international clients, advertising agencies and (digital) production companies, brands and NGOs like; Wieden + Kennedy, UN World Food Programmme, Gray Singapore, Unicef, booking.com, UNHCR, bonkers and KLM.
Some of the highlights in his career include working with high acclaimed photographer / director Anton Corbijn during the 'shoot me film festival' I founded.
The premiere of his latest narrative film 'gifts from Babylon'. A film I wrote and directed together with a young west African production house he co-founded 10 years ago.
The concept design and branding of an Indonesian based company, KAYU surfboards. Responsible for product development, brand strategy and the visual identity. Being the Creative Director & consultant for the United Nations World Food Program Bangladesh.
After traveling the world now I aim to team up with like minded people & companies to work on innovative projects, creative content and impact storytelling to make this planet a little bit better than we have found it.
Between work I'm surfing waves preferably in Java, plays music and practices the art of shiatsu.
