Erik (1990) got accepted into the Netherlands Film Academy in 2011 after studying Video Editor & Camera at the Rijn IJssel College in Arnhem. In 2015 he graduated from the academy in film editing with the films My Silicone Love (Official Selection IDFA 2015 / Winner Jury Price Vers Awards 2015 / Winner Audience Award Keep An Eye Film Festival 2015) and Nachtoord / Nighthaven (Winner Special Wildcard Netherlands Film Festival 2015 / Winner Topkapi Fiction Film Award Keep An Eye Film Festival 2015 / Winner Jury Price Verse Awards 2015).
When Erik was eleven years old, he and his friends made skate clips and home video remakes of blockbusters like Scream and Home Alone. What started out as a playful hobby grew out to be the thing he loved the most: film.
Being an open minded person with broad interests, it's only natural he loves to edit a wide variety of films, commercials, music videos or even experimenting with new kinds of media.
