I love literature, the arts in general and telling stories. In daily life I am often seized by a vague feeling, an emptiness, a kind of sadness and a great frustration: a deep-rooted anger and envy because things and the world do not present themselves to me urgently enough. Then I laugh at my own hysteria and do something terribly banal to unlearn it. I feel more at home in theatre, literature, music and film than anywhere else. Yet for a few weeks now I have been working as a waitress in a restaurant. I studied Creative Writing for three years, am between 1.58 / 1.60 and have never really acted, although I did participate in various theatre performances as a child. (Nothing special, school musicals, drama lessons etc.) My favourite writer is Cees Nooteboom, with in particular 'In de bergen van Nederland', a dark fairy tale, and I have great admiration for the work of Alex van Warmerdam. His characters are often so imperfect that I feel at home in them.
