Cheeky and a smiley face, but always sincere. This is how presenter and TV radio maker Dave van der Wal can best be described. He has now established his name in the South Holland region as an all-round entertainer. Now it's the rest of the country's turn.

Biography:
Dave was born in Zuid in the Clara Hospital. He grows up under the smoke of the Botlek and the Europoort. Dave: “In our house it always smelled like synthetic pine trees.” After his secondary school in Capelle aan den IJssel, he went back to live in the most beautiful city in the world, this time on his own. He studies at the School for Journalism and Information in Utrecht and soon finds himself behind the microphone at Radio Rijnmond as a freelancer and later in front of the camera at TV Rijnmond.
For five years he will be performing with the biggest and smallest artists with the Dave On Stage Bonte Kerstavond in a packed Oude Luxor Theater. 1.5 million viewers watched the regional TV station every year at Christmas and enjoyed performances by Gordon LA The Voices, Wibi Soerjadi, Karin Bloemen, Nick & Simon, Jan Smit, Belle Perez and Lee Towers, among others. Who hasn't performed at Dave On Stage!
In addition to his work for Rijnmond, Dave also worked for various other TV programs. “I'm leaving” from the TROS, made various Pilots as a test for production houses and is still active as a (freelance) reporter for RTL Boulevard and Radio/TV Rijnmond. In addition, Dave has been focusing more on the promotion of Rotterdam in the last two years, which has resulted, among other things, in his own Entertainment Group under the name “De Kanjers”. Of which, by the way, no one can ever say that they are the Rotterdam Toppers! The theater side also continues to attract. For example, in 2011 he co-wrote and played in Glenda Peters' theater show (winner of the first Soundmix show).
As an unsolicited ambassador of the city of Rotterdam, he and his company are involved with the city, in the broadest sense of the word. And where Dave finds something missing, he takes the initiative himself to set something up and get it done. This, of course, together with other Rotterdam Entrepreneurs. He thinks the best example of this is “The Day Of The Rotterdam Kanjers”. This is a day on which we as a city, residents and companies say thank you to the more than 160,000 volunteers who are active in the port city. You don't want those people to stop working tomorrow.
