I grew up in the Netherlands and have been living in Guatemala since 2009. I am an experienced video editor and cameraman with 8 years of experience. In 2009 I started my own video production company, Atlantic Films in Central America, where I also conducted discussions and negotiations with our clients in addition to camera and editing work.
In July I will return to the Netherlands to be able to grow and develop myself more in the media world. I have gained very useful knowledge and know-how in the world of videos and television over the years. With Atlantic Films I produced, filmed and edited two television programs per month Ruta Verde and Centro Médico TV on a local cable channel in Guatemala (Canal Antigua).

Ruta Verde (The Green Route) was an ecological travel program (documentary style), where we traveled through Guatemala to discover and film new and beautiful locations. My company has produced 40 episodes of Ruta Verde in four years (2010-2014). Centro Médico TV was a monthly medical program featuring physician interviews and up-to-date medical advice. From March 2012 until now I have produced 54 episodes of Centro Médico TV.

In the 7 years of working in my company Atlantic Films I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience in running a video production company. I was involved in the following areas: pre-production, story-boarding, brainstorming, production and editing. But also managing meetings, negotiating with clients, lawyers and accountants, selling new ideas to new and existing clients. In addition, I was also involved in internal administration, including personnel, payroll and taxes

On the technical side, I have great skill in filming and editing documentaries, TV shows, commercials and corporate videos with different cameras and lenses, filming from helicopters, and a good knowledge of underwater filming.
