Mainly working in the theater sector, as a director and translator. I am a former staff director at the Royal National Theater in London, international associate at the Chopin Theater in Chicago, and associate artist at Birkbeck, University of London. Currently working as resident director at the production ANNE in Theater Amsterdam.
Theater directing includes Waterdragers for Het Zuidelijk Toneel, and for Studio Dubbelagent HATE based on the film La Haine by Matthieu Kassovitz, nominated for the Samuel Beckett Award in London (Rozentheater Amsterdam, Stadsschouwburg Utrecht, Theater aan het Spui, Barbican Theater London ao); the Dutch premiere of Motortown by Simon Stephens (Koninklijke Schouwburg Den Haag, Rozentheater Amsterdam); and an English-language production by Yasser van Abdelkader Benali (Assembly Rooms Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Arcola Theater London, Chopin Theater Chicago, Koninklijke Schouwburg Den Haag ao).

I followed the Bachelor of Theater Directing at London's Rose Bruford College of Theater and Performance drama school after completing a degree in Theater Studies at the University of Amsterdam, and the Diploma of Film Directing at the London Film Academy. In 2010-11 I was director-in-residence at the London production house Orange Tree Theatre. In the West End I worked as an assistant director on the Olivier Award winning production The Mountaintop. I also directed and taught at drama schools in England.
